Del Norte is a two-story contemporary mountain home designed for family vacationing and entertaining
The homeowner requested that the design of their vacation home to feel warm and cozy yet have a modern aesthetic., while taking advantage of the surrounding views.
The design achieved this goal through a combination of sloped rooflines, timber and steel details, as well as a variety of siding materials
On the interior, a voluminous great room features floor-to-ceiling windows that enable panoramic views of the surrounding mountains with the focal point on Del Norte. The expanse of windows also makes the home feel bright and airy. Integrating walls of windows, as well as carefully placed glass, provides the indoor/outdoor living experience the homeowner desired.
